Historical NotesThis needlepoint was made by Jean Lois (DeRoy) Aronson, wife of U.S. Realty President Richard J. Aronson. The United States Realty Corporation was founded 1902 by the Aronson family and managed many of the most prestigious buildings in downtown Pittsburgh, including the Nixon Theater on Liberty Avenue. It eventually merged into Hill-Cleary Real Estate Company to become Hill Cleary & Associates.
