One side of the glass features a gold monogram, with overlapping letters, possibly "N" and "W".
Historical NotesA brooch containing the miniature of young woman and a lock of hair. The miniature portrait is most likely a relation of Ebenezer Denny, possibly his wife Nancy Wilkins or their daughter, Nancy. Ebenezer Denny was a soldier in the American Revolution and the first mayor of Pittsburgh, serving from 1816 to 1817. The donor Louise E. Denny Barnes is the great-granddaughter of Ebenezer Denny.
