Historical NotesThe portrait was commissioned by Robert Fisher in the Philippines for his girlfriend at the time Elizabeth "Bette" Kenyon. Part of a collection that documents the Fisher, Keltz, and Kenyon families. The majority of the collection is related to the WWII service of brothers Walt and Robert Fisher. Robert Fisher served in the Pacific theater, particularly in the Philippines. Robert Fisher met his future wife, Elizabeth Kenyon at a camp, she was a Red Cross volunteer. They were married after the war.
