Historical NotesPart of a collection of political and protest buttons collected by donor Terence N. Palso. Handed out on front of Pittsburgh supermarkets. Boycott Lettuce campaign in the early 1970s of the United Farm Workers, led by activist Cesar Chavez to boycott growers that employed non-union workers or that attempted to contract with pickers without consulting the UFW. The lettuce strike started around 1970.
