Historical NotesAssociation of Space Explorers membership card belonging to Jay Apt. The Association of Space Explorers (ASE, https://www.space-explorers.org/) offers membership to those who have completed at least one orbit of the Earth in a spacecraft. ASE has a mission to ‘apply the unique perspective of our astronaut / cosmonaut members to promote the global benefits of space science, exploration and international cooperation; to educate and inspire future generations; and to foster better stewardship of our home planet.’ Apt joined ASE after his first spaceflight and has attended a number of ASE Planetary Congresses.
