DescriptionThe Ten Commandments or Tablets of Stone display tablet. Dark stained wood. Rectangular with two arches along top edge. Front has raised border and two columns of hebrew characters. Front surface is rough-hewn wood. Beveled sides. Reverse has four brown plastic bumpers, one in each corner. InscriptionsFront has two columns of hebrew characters - the first ten letters of the Hebrew alphabet, which in Hebrew usage may be used interchangeably with the numbers 1-10.

Historical NotesWooden tablet rescued from the synagogue, Agudath Achim, in Beaver Falls, PA, when the building fell into disrepair in the 1970's. The donor's husband, Dr. Marvin Kurfeerst, is the person responsible for saving them.
