Inscriptions(a)
On the front is a large gold 'V,' to the left of the letter sits three dots and a dash on the right; those symbols together make up the morse code sign for the letter 'V,'

In the bottom left of the stamp is "11¢".
The top right of the stamp has "U.S. POSTAGE, and the bottom right has "AIR MAIL."
The bottom of the red and blue box has the words "AEROGRAMME PAR AVION."
To the left of the blue and red border is the inscription "FIRST FOLD," on the right is "SECOND FOLD."
At the front on the bottom of the paper written upside down is "DO NO USE TAPE OR STICKERS TO SEAL / NO ENCLOSURES PERMITTED."
Also at the top written in blue "FOLD SIDES OVER AND THEN FOLD BOTTOM UP / MOISTEN FLAP WELL AND APPLY PRESSURE TO SEAL."
Historical NotesPart of a collection that documents the Fisher, Keltz, and Kenyon families. The majority of the collection is related to the WWII service of brothers Walt and Robert Fisher. Robert Fisher served in the Pacific theater, particularly in the Philippines. Walter Fisher was in the Airborne, Medical Corps.
