DescriptionCandelabra or menorah with seven (7) light bulbs. Electrified. Metal seven-armed structure with white plastic tubes mimicking candles. The "candles" are lined with cardboard tubes with light sockets inside where light bulbs screw in. Ornate decoration on the arms, central column, and top of base. Flared tiered circular base with domed underside. Underside has central column at center with threaded end; pink plaster-like material around interior perimeter. Brown electrical cord emanates from side of base and ends in two-prong plug with maker's mark and voltage between the prongs.
Light bulbs are flicker flame bulb type. Colorless glass bulb with bent pointed top. Gold-tone metal screw end with black and silver base. Historical NotesMenorah rescued from the synagogue, Agudath Achim, in Beaver Falls, PA, when the building fell into disrepair in the 1970's. The donor's husband, Dr. Marvin Kurfeerst, is the person responsible for saving them.
