DescriptionWhite canvas fabric overalls made by Carhartt. Brass-tone buttons, clasps, slides, and snaps. Red reinforced stitching. Pockets across chest with maker's label in proper left corner. Hip apron pockets. One pocket on the front of each thigh. Pant legs each have a hammer loop and side pockets. Reinforced knees. One back pocket each side. Twenty-four (24) screws and one magnet were found in the hip apron pockets of the overalls.DimensionsHeight x Width (a): 60 × 22 in. (152.4 × 55.9 cm) [Width is at waist]

Pockets across chest has maker's label in proper left corner with embroidered yellow logo and "carhartt" in brown.
Each strap clasp and each button have "carhartt" inscribed on front.
Historical NotesPainter's overalls from Kaufmann's Department Store. Part of a collection of artifacts that document the downtown location of Kaufmann’s (became Macy’s) department store. This large collection of items was field gathered from the downtown location of Macy’s (formerly Kaufmann’s) after the store’s final closing was announced in the fall of 2015.
