InscriptionsEmbossed on top metal: "GRAND RAPIDS / MICHIGAN"; text around circle, "FROM GRAND RAPIDS", "MUNICIPAL TRADE MARK".

Yellow ribbon has gold text, "LADIES OF THE / G.A.R."

Circular medal has text embossed around obverse edge, "COMMANDER IN CHIEF - L.F. ARENSBERG".

Reverse of circular medal has text in center, "59TH / NAT'L. / ENCAMPMENT / GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. / SEPT. 1925".
Historical NotesFrom the 59th National G.A.R. Encampment which took place in Grand Rapids, Michigan from August 30-September 5, 1925. Approximately 55,817 veterans attended the encampment. Found in collection.
