DescriptionEmbroidered shoulder patch, appears to be an unofficial military-style insignia: an upright oblong shape of khaki-color fabric, machine-embroidered with shiny brown thread with the military campaign name, along with an outline map of Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, with superimposed stars and stripes banner in red, white, blue, and diagonal yellow banner with text; the back of the patch has been sealed with a hot-applied plastic material.Dimensions0.125 x 3 x 4.25 in. Historical NotesDonor Mary Jeanne Flaherty served with the 171st Mission Support Flight during the Gulf War (USAF Active Guard Reserve), and apparently purchased this (unofficial) patch locally as a souvenir.
