Wide front bill-type brim, covered in Woodland-Camouflage pattern; front of cap and crown filled with foam sheeting and covered with drab-green fabric, imprinted in thermo-set black ink with unit information; remainder of crown is made of camouflage-patterned plastic mesh, with inserted plastic adjustable headband, partially padded with foam in a fabric lining; fabric-covered metal rivet at top of crown joins the sectional seams; decorative green braided cord at visor.Dimensions5.75 x 10 x 11 in. Historical NotesCap worn by donor Mary Jeanne Flaherty as part of the 171st Mission Support Flight, which supplied the 171st Air Refueling Group with communications equipment during Operation Desert Storm; it is likely that this cap was not (regulation) government issue.
