Donor used this instrument while performing in costume as a Junior Tamburitzan.Label TextCareful to preserve their traditions and culture, many Serbian Americans joined a Junior Tamburitzan Orchestra when they were children. This prim was played by Eli Bratich as a St. George’s Junior Tamburitzan in Midland, PA. In addition to playing stringed instruments such as the prim, Junior Tamburitzans also sing and dance. These orchestras remain popular today in Serbian American communities
