Historical NotesWilliam A. Johnston, a native of Sewickley, served as a Second Lieutenant with the 15th Air Force of the 332nd Fighter Group of the Tuskegee Army Air Corps from 1944 to the end of the war. Afterwards, Johnston worked for the Federal Aviation Administration and flew as a corporate pilot.
