DescriptionOne and a half gallon elliptical stoneware storage jar. Grey salt glaze with cobalt stenciled maker text, free hand painted capacity number and decorations on front. Base is more narrow than body which tapers back inward toward the top with an overhanging lip featuring a groove on the underside. Albany glaze on interior. Flared out foot, raised center on base.Dimensions9.5 x 9 in. (24.1 x 22.9 cm)
MarksCobalt stenciled lettering and free hand painted number which reads "HAMILTON & JONES / 1 1/2 / GREENSBORO. PA."
