DescriptionNavy blue fabric basketball shorts with white trim detailing along the waist, sides, and around the edges of the legs. On the bottom of the right leg is a gold star on the front and a white star on the back attached by stitching of the same colors. On the left leg is a white star attached to the front and a gold star attached to the back, stitched on with the same colors. Adjustment strap on the waist and a silver colored metal buckle. Historical NotesPart of a collection related to the basketball career of Dr. Harry R. Zeller. Zeller played high school, independent, college, and professional basketball before becoming a doctor. Zeller first played basketball at St. George High School and also played in the Pittsburgh Municipal League whose games were played at the South Side Market House court. He went on to play for Washington and Jefferson for four years and for the University of Pittsburgh for two while attending medical school. While at Pitt he was named to the All-East team in 1946. Professionally he played for the Pittsburgh Ironmen from 1947 to 1948. While at Pitt he played in the East/West play-off game, the game was played at Madison Square Garden. He died in 2004 at the age of 85.
