DescriptionWomen's two-piece skirt suit made of navy blue pinstripe wool comprised of coat and skirt.
Navy blue wool pinstripe coat fitted with slight flair, sewn-in belt (Norfolk style). Shawl buttons covered with black velvet, two buttons fasten below belt, two smaller buttons at bottom of sleeves, two buttons at front edge of belt. Blue and white striped silk lining.

Historical NotesThis suit was worn by Mrs. Mayer N. Jacobs. Dressmaker Rose Higgins went to Paris several times a year and brought back model dresses from which she made copies. Donated to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in 1956 by Mrs. W. McG Witherow. Transferred to the Senator John Heinz History Center in 1994.
