Historical NotesWWII German Army eagle/cockade cap insignia from the Bergmutze/M43 field cap. It was concluded that these items are from Nazi uniforms and more than likely were picked up as war trophies off of German soldiers by the Vincent Sirianni during his service in Europe. Vincent Sirianni was born in Gizzeria, Italy, in 1923 and immigrated to America in 1933. Sirianni served in Europe and North Africa as an administrator, due mostly to the fact that he spoke Italian and English, as well as some French. He also knew shorthand. Vincent Sirianni is donor Rosemary Sirianni's father.
