Historical NotesClothes hanger from the Roosevelt Hotel, a 600-room hotel that was located at the corner of Sixth and Penn in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that opened in 1927. It was named after Theodore Roosevelt and a portrait of him hung in the Tudor style lobby. The hotel went bankrupt during the Great Depression, but recovered and was bought by a chain in 1947 and renamed the "Pick-Roosevelt". In 1972 the struggling hotel closed for good and was made into an elderly housing establishment.
