DescriptionSmall oval-shaped parlor table, moulded edge. Heavily carved encircling apron. Top rests on a heavy turned pedestal. Four very heavy carved scrolled legs, with castered feet. Legs and pedestal brackets feature "rivet head" decorative buttons. Oval-shaped white marble table top, beveled edge.Dimensions30 x 33 x 24 in. (76.2 x 83.8 x 61 cm)Historical NotesPurportedly from the room used by Abraham Lincoln during his stay at the Monongahela House hotel in 1861. Following the demolition of the Monongahela House, it was acquired by Allegheny County and displayed in a "museum" at South Park in the 1930's. This piece, along with other furniture, was rediscovered at South Park in 2007.
