Historical NotesHenry Lambert was a merchant of Pittsburgh, born in Dublin, Ireland in 1812; moved to Pittsburgh in 1829; and died in 1874. This painting was donated to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in 1918 by Clara Cainn. It was transferred to the Heinz History Center in 1994.
