Historical Notesthis badge was worn by Anna Krall, when she was employed by the Westinghouse Electric Company in East Pittsburgh; it appears to date from the late thirties to early forties, and may represent a WWII war production identification badge; a daughter of Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants, her parents and brothers and sisters also worked for Westinghouse at one time or anotherLabel TextAnna Krall wore this badge as an employee of the Westinghouse Electric Company in East Pittsburgh. The daughter of Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants, Krall came from a family of Westinghouse employees. By 1943, more than 30,000 women worked in Pittsburgh war plants; at Westinghouse Electric, one quarter of the workers were female.
