Historical NotesThis sewing machine was used at Sunnyledge, the McClelland family's mansion at Fifth and Wilkins Avenues in Shadyside. Sunnyledge was built in 1886 and was the home and office of Dr. James H. McClelland. Members of the McClelland family resided in the home until the 1980s. The home is now a boutique hotel.
