DescriptionProp chandelier from Cinderella window scene. Round at top and tapers to a point at bottom. Chandelier has gold painted metal frame with decorative scrollwork and details. Sides of chandelier is a metal grid with a network of glass prisms wired together in the voids of the grid. Plastic beadwork is woven around the metal grid on the sides. Glass light bulb inside light socket of chandelier still functions at time of cataloging. Chain protrudes from top of chandelier and is mostly covered with purple fabric. Electric wire runs through chain and extends out past chain and ends in a yellow two-pronged wall plug.DimensionsChandelier body: Height 18.25, Diameter 10.25;Chandelier with chain extended: Height 51.5, Diameter 10.25;
Length of electrical cord from top of chain: Length 148 (approximate).
InscriptionsTwo-pronged wall plug at end of electrical cord has raised text "HUBBELL" on side and "15A / 125V" between the prongs.
Historical NotesThe chandelier was added to the Cinderella figure window display when they were displayed at Macy's circa 2007. Part of a collection of artifacts that document the downtown location of Kaufmann’s (became Macy’s) department store. This large collection of items was field gathered from the downtown location of Macy’s (formerly Kaufmann’s) after the store’s final closing was announced in the fall of 2015.
