Historical NotesThis is the third national issue of the U.S. Marshal badge that was worn from 1980 to the present. Director William Hall wanted a return to a more historical design, which emerged as a circle with agency lettering outside a star. Silver colored badges were worn by deputies. Part of the Pittsburgh Police Historical Association collection.
