DescriptionBrown wedding dress consisting of bodice and skirt.
Brown cotton bodice with a low collar. Long sleeves that are gathered at the shoulders with rolled cuffs at the bottom. Longer pleats on the back. Fifteen mother of pearl and metal buttons down the front. Copper-colored satin material added to the front of the collar, lapels, cuffs, and inside edge of the back pleats.
Brown, pleated cotton dress skirt. Gathered sash below the front of the waistband with brown pieces of ribbon down the proper right side. Copper-colored satin panel off center down the front. Historical NotesDonor Betsy Martin's grandmother's dress. The donor's father William Wallace Bell, Jr. was the Vice President of the Schenley Hotel from the late 1920s until the hotel closed in the 1960s.
