Historical NotesDonated by Valerie Lawrie, great granddaughter of Marguerite and George Westinghouse. The dress is identified as belonging to Marguerite. On closer examination, the dress appears to be too small for Marguerite and may have been worn by Evelyn Violet Brocklebank Westinghouse, who married the only child of George and Marguerite, as her wedding dress. The description of her wedding dress matches this dress, "The bride, who wore a gown of ivory duchess satin, trimmed with old Venetian and Brussels lace..."
