Historical NotesMyron Cope dressed as a doctor during television skits on WTAE, where he would "examine" the opposing team's good and bad points through his "Cope-ra-scope," Cope's version of a crystal ball. This stethoscope was used as part of that comedic persona. Myron Cope (January 23, 1929 - February 27, 2008)--born Myron Sidney Kopelman--was a sports journalist, radio personality, and sportscaster best known as "the voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers."
