Historical NotesChampionship ring belonging to Jon Tuladzieck, a coach and former Thomas Jefferson High School player. The Thomas Jefferson Jaguars won the 2007 PIAA Championship against Garnet Valley, 28-3. They were the first team from the WPIAL to win a PIAA Class AAA Championship with a perfect--16-0--record. Thomas Jefferson High School’s football team has been successful. The team captured the WPIAL AAA championship in four of the past five seasons and added three state PIAA Class AAA championships in 2004, 2007, and 2008. Under the leadership of Coach Bill Cherpak, the team became the first from the WPIAL to win a state championship with a perfect record, 16-0 for the Jaguars 2007 team. This collection of material documents the Jaguar’s back to back championship seasons of 2007 and 2008 and includes a 2008 game worn helmet (Matt Sauter, kicker), 2008 PIAA game used, team signed football, and a 2007 state championship ring.
