DescriptionPoker dice set with five plastic dice, paper rules sheet, and transparent plastic case consisting of bottom and lid. The five white die have rounded corners and six faces. Each face features a different image representing a poker card. One side has a black club, one side has a red King, one side has a blue Queen, one side has a black Jack, one side has ten red diamonds, and one side has nine black spades.DimensionsParts a-e: Height 0.625, Width 0.625, Depth 0.625;

Blue printed text "RULES FOR POKER DICE / Each player places a predetermined number of / counters in a pool and is allowed three casts of the / dice. One player starts off by casting the five dice. / For the second cast the player may throw five dice / again, or leave the better scoring dice and throw / the remainder. / For the third cast the player may throw less but / not more than the number of dice thrown for the / second cast, and the five dice will then show the / player's score. / A player need only make one or two casts if the / first or second cast shows a good total score. / The player to the left casts next and the one / who has shown the highest score in the round wins / the game and the pool. If two or more score the / same, the pool is divided. In subsequent rounds / the player to the left of the one commencing the / preceding round has first cast. / Scoring is as follows, lowest given first:- / "Pair": 2-9's; 2-10's; 2-Jacks; 2-Queens; 2-Kings; / 2-Aces. / "Two Pairs": Two pairs of either of the above. / "Three": 3-9's; 3-10's; 3-Jacks; 3-Queens; 3-Kings; / 3-Aces. / "Straight": 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King. / "Full House": 2 of a kind and 3 of a kind. / "Top Straight": 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace. / "Four": 4-9's, 4-10's; 4-Jacks; 4-Queens; 4-Kings; / 4-Aces. / "Five" :5-9's, 5-10's; 5-Jacks; 5-Queens; 5-Kings; / 5-Aces."

Historical NotesPart of a collection related to Aaronel deRoy Gruber and her husband Irving B. Gruber. Irving Gruber loved poker. In the 1950s, he started a poker group and the men played every Monday night. These dice were used in these poker matches. Donor Terry Gruber is the son of Aaronel deRoy Gruber and Irving Gruber.
