MarksEmbossed maker's mark on back of handle: "[diamond shape with "F" in middle] / 925 / STERLING / 1000 / [diamond shape with "CO" in middle]".
Historical NotesSouvenir spoon from the Frick Building, c. 1901. The Chicago-based architectural firm of D.H. Burnham & Company designed the twenty-story Greek classical structure, which was built in 1901-1902. Pittsburgh industrialist Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919) commissioned the building, purportedly making it taller than the nearby Carnegie Building to block the Grant Street-view of his friend-turned-rival Andrew Carnegie.
