DescriptionWoven rattan picnic basket. Square woven bottom and tall sides flaring slightly toward top. Woven and rattan wrapped squared handle. Basket comes to a slight point on both sides of basket where handle is attached. Top closed by two woven rattan lids. Hinged on sides without handle. Both lids meet in the middle of top opening, even with handle. Braided rattan ring handle on one lid.Dimensions(a-c together) Height 16.5, Width 13.5, Depth 13;

Historical NotesDonor family history relates that the basket was made by an ancestor ? Dany, donor Janet K. Seapker's great-great grandfather. He supposedly worked on the Northside as a wicker worker. The family has other rattan and wicker pieces made by him.
