DescriptionSet of seventeen (17) pasteboard playing cards that are also coupons. On the face of each card, it is white and has black printed text describing coupon and retailer. On back of each card, it is multiple shades of green with a large gold, circular symbol in the center; under the symbol is retailer information.Dimensions3.5 x 2.375 x 0.5 x 11 in. It continues on discussing a discount deal once a certain amount of cards are collected. At the bottom of the card, "LA RAINE BEAUTY SHOPPE / 5268 Butler St. / Pittsburgh 1, Pa." is printed in black. Underneath, it says "(This offer is void where its use is / taxed or otheriwse restricted.)" On each side of the card, it says "ONE COUPON".
On back of the card, under the symbol, it says "For That Personal Touch / LA RAINE BEAUTY SHOPPE / 5268 Butler St. Pgh. 1, Pa. / [telephone symbol] 781-3716 [telephone symbol]".
Historical NotesPart of a collection belonging to Bernie Burns. The collection documents Firefighters Local No. 1, the firefighting union of which Bernie Burns was the president; his life as a firefighter; and additional items that document growing up in Lawrenceville in the 1960s and 1970s.
