Historical NotesMovie poster featuring highlights of the 1946 rematch between "Pittsburgh Kid" Billy Conn and Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis. The fight took place at Yankee Stadium and was the first televised World Heavyweight Championship. Louis knocked Conn out in round eight. Conn retired a few years later, and was inducted, during its inaugural year, into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990. He died three years later in Pittsburgh.
