Historical NotesIn Johnston family for about 100 yrs. Family lived on 41st St. in Lawrenceville bfore moving in 1890. The chest was acquired by the donor's grandmother, Mrs. William Johnston, from the Arsenal (possibly when part of Arsenal was dismantled). Mrs. Johnston daughter, Clara Barnes, acquired it about 1916 and used it to store porch and tennis equipment. Mrs. Barnes' daughter, Margaret, donated it to HSWP.
