Badge is composed of a belt with a crest at the top and inscribed around the belt is police department name. In the center is a portrait photographic image of a man wearing a police hat, below which is memorial information.Dimensions10.5 x 8.625 x 1 in. (26.7 x 21.9 x 2.5 cm)
InscriptionsText inscribed around the belt is "PITTSBURGH / *POLICE*".

Below photo is text which reads: "IN MEMORY OF / COLEMAN R. McDONOUGH / DIED IN ACTION / JULY 6, 1965".
Historical NotesColeman R. "Coley" McDonough was a Pittsburgh Police officer who was shot in the chest and killed by Leroy Scott in the line of duty while responding to a domestic disturbance call in Hazelwood. McDonough was a former Pittsburgh Steeler and University of Dayton halfback. Part of the Pittsburgh Police Historical Association collection.
