DescriptionGold-colored metal police hat badge. Shield in the shape of Pittsburgh's coat of arms with a castle at the top and three eagles inscribed in a circle around the bottom. Across the top of the shield is city name with a black enamel background. Engraved across the center banner is name of wearer. Across bottom of the shield is name of police department with a black enamel background. Vertical "T" pin on back of badge.Dimensions3.25 x 2.375 in. (8.3 x 6 cm)
InscriptionsAcross the top of the shield reads: "PITTSBURGH" with a black enamel background.
Engraved across the center banner reads: "FRANK H. KEEFE".

Across bottom of the shield reads "BUREAU / OF/ POLICE" with a black enamel background.

Historical NotesFrank H. Keefe was a Pittsburgh Police Inspector and served from August 19th 1918 to July 1st 1958. Part of the Pittsburgh Police Historical Association collection.
