DescriptionTwo (2) colorless glass oval shaped banana split dishes with handles on the ends. The design of the dish includes an eight pointed star on the flat base which is centered around an oval of two rings. The star points are textured with small pyramid points. The outer ring of the central base oval is filled with triangles of varying sizes. The inner ring features a design of a shape resembling a sunburst. Extending outward and upward from the base are ridges which run to the rim of the bowl. The ridges extend through the bottom of the handles as well. Historical NotesPart of a collection related to Klavon's, which document that Klavon's was originally a pharmacy and an ice cream shop. Klavon's Pharmacy opened at 28th and Liberty in 1920. It operated at that location as both a pharmacy and soda/ice cream shop until 1979 when founder James Klavon passed away. For 20 years the building was boarded up until Ray Klavon, grandson of the founder, re-opened the store in 1999 as Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor. In 2013 the family sold the building to a new owner who opened another ice cream shop under the same name.
