Historical NotesDirectional Kennywood Park sign, used to "point" the way to the local amusement park. Found in donor's new home after he moved in an old cabinet in the garage. Kennywood began as a picnic grove destination point on the Pittsburgh Railway Company trolley lines in 1898. The park continued to expand over the years and is now one of two amusement parks listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
