Historical NotesWild Life League of Pennsylvania trophy. The Wild Life League of Pennsylvania was a sportsman organization that fought for conservation legislation and sponsored competitions of rifle clubs and other outdoor organizations and promoted wildlife conservation. They had local branches throughout the state. Dr. D. A. Atkinson was an active member of this organization. He was also a revolver champion in the Ft. Pitt Rifle Club and the honorary Curator of Reptiles at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and donated many specimens to the organization.
