Historical NotesPart of a collection of WWII insignia patches and ribbon insignia, Pittsburgh High School, Department of Hygiene medals and a political armband that document the Ziskind family and compliments their archival collection in the Rauh Jewish archives and the book Brothers Three by Colonel Jack Ziskind also in the HHC archives. The three brothers all served in Europe during WWII. They grew up in the Friendship neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Their sister Zelda went to medical school and “delivered half the babies in East Liberty” according to the brothers.
