Historical NotesBaseball bat used by Neil Walker during the 2011 Pittsburgh Pirates season. Pittsburgh native and Pine-Richland high school star Neil Walker transitioned from catcher to third base during his minor league career, then adapted well to playing second base for the Pirates, benefitting from the tutelage of his idol Bill Mazeroski. In 2011, Walker hit a grand slam out of Wrigley Field, the first Pirate to do so in an opening game since Roberto Clemente in 1962.
