DescriptionConvention badge with explanation card. Badge with empty nameplate on top, with black and gold vertically striped ribbon attached. Gold metallic text on front of ribbon provides event information. Rectangular medal attached at bottom of ribbon: embossed image of the Cathedral of Learning above the city's seal. Maker information on reverse of medal. Historical NotesPart of a collection belonging to James W, Carter a township commissioner of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, from the 1920s to the 1960s. Carter was a member of several fraternal organizations including the American Woodmen, Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellows, and the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elk of the World Lodge 515.
