On both sides: around the edge of the design's two smallest circles is "PITTSBURGH POLICE" and two images of what appear to be the City of Pittsburgh's Coat of Arms. Inside the smallest circle is "TPF".
Historical NotesThe Tactical Patrol Force (TPF) was part of the Pittsburgh Police Bureau's Special Operations Division. It was conceived in 1963 and members were drafted out of necessity. The blue color of the insignia indicates that it is from the Blue Squad. Part of the Pittsburgh Police Historical Association collection.
