Historical NotesThis banner hung in Civic Arena to commemorate the championships won by the the Pittsburgh Hornets. The Pittsburgh Hornets were among the most successful teams in the American Hockey League in the mid-20th century. They played their first game in 1936, and won three Calder Cup championships over 26 seasons.
