Historical NotesA collection of miscellaneous items that came in with the Bloom family papers in the Rauh Jewish Archives. They consist of a KDKA decoder badge, Buhl Planetarium pin back button, a t-shirt marked "Salute to Isreal/44 Years/ May 17, 1992 and two political banners supporting Israel. Albert Bloom was the founding editor of the Jewish Chronicle in 1962, his wife, Evelyn Bloom was a community leader and activist. She was involved in Zionist organizations and local Jewish activities. She founded the Salute to Israel parade and the Israel Film Festival. At this point the KDKA and Buhl connections are not known.
