Historical NotesEleventh annual reunion of the 28th Regiment, 147th Regiment, and Knap's Volunteers took place in Gettysburg on October 13, 1885. Battery E (Knapp's Battery) was commanded at the Battle of Gettysburg by Captain Charles A. Atwell, a clerk from Allegheny City. It brought six 10-pounder Parrott rifles to the field manned by four officers and 135 men, and lost three enlisted men wounded. Found in collection.
