InscriptionsInterior of lid has black and white photograph with handwritten text on the photograph in blue ink on the left side "ANN" and on the right side "STEPHANIE".

Off-white paper card adhered to the interior of the case bottom has printed and handwritten text "Mrs. Herbert Isaac Frank / 1231 BENNINGTON AVE. / MA-1441 PGH. PA."
Historical NotesThis card case belonged to Rose Buck and the photograph inside depicts her two daughters, Ann and Stephanie. The Buck and Frank families were Jewish families that lived in McKeesport, PA, and Irwin, PA, respectively, during the late 19th and 20th centuries. They were connected through Rose (Buck) Frank, who married Herbert I. Frank in 1930. The couple had two daughters Stephanie (Frank) Mallinger, born in 1931, and Ann (Frank) Hoechstetter, born in 1932.
