DescriptionVery large and primitive-looking "Turk's Head" mold: a yellow-color clay body, with a deep, heavy plum-brown color overglaze on the interior; exterior is largely unglazed; a deep tapered dish, with an embossed swirl pattern, and smooth, cone-shaped hollow central column; heavy flanged rim at top edge.Dimensions4.5 x 12.25 x 11.875 in. (11.4 x 31.1 x 30.2 cm)Historical NotesEarly appearance, possibly due to the rather crude construction.
