DescriptionLarge "Turk's Head" mold: earthenware (redware) body, deep bowl, embossed inside and out with swirled rib pattern; smooth, hollow, tapered central column; interior coated with a mustard-brown color glaze; exterior has fired to a dark yellow-green color; there is an applied lug on one side of the vessel, which is pierced with a single hole, apparently for mounting a hanging ring or bail (not intact).Dimensions4.5 x 9.75 in.
